Ashlie Hughes is a freelance writer and photographer who covers the things she loves to do most – eat, drink and travel. Preferably all at once.
Before she began her writing career, Ashlie worked as a catering assistant, a banquet director and an associate producer in television production for Discovery Studios.
Her writing has appeared in Edible Santa Fe magazine and blog, Foodshed magazine (formerly Flavor), and Metrocurean.com. She also spent time as the E-News Producer for FRESHFARM Markets in Washington, D.C.
Ashlie is BarSmarts certified and is currently pursuing a sommelier certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she has a view of two beautiful mountain ranges from her patio and enjoys eating copious amounts of the local specialty, green chile.
